Shelly’s goal as a holistic wellness practitioner is to work with women to help them identify achievable goals that will allow them to create a holistic wellness routine that prioritizes their relationship with Jesus. She believes that creating an individualized and do-able wellness routine that allows life to happen can help ensure it will not be the first thing to go when struggles come. Instead, it can become the one thing—the focus on behaving unto Jesus—that allows everything else to remain orderly, so that when trouble comes, it will be a natural go-to to “call on His Holy Name!”

For over 20 years, Shelly has served people as a volunteer, teacher, therapist, and mentor. She began her career teaching young children with special needs and their families, collaborating with professionals across disciplines to effectively serve them. The seed to provide Christ-centered care was sown in this season of her life and continued to grow as she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, serving families of children with autism while also promoting healthy habits. Her own health journey—including a cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis as a teen, her husband’s battle with cancer, and her own stress-related immune breakdown—taught her to stop self-medicating and self-relying, and instead follow Jesus in all areas of life, including healing, body image, health, and wellness. In 2022, after moving across the country, she felt called by Jesus to take a season of rest, which led her to place her identity in Him rather than in past hurts or accomplishments. Today, she serves in multiple ministries at her church, mentors women and her daughters, and farms organic produce with her husband, grateful that the decision to follow Jesus as both her Savior and Lord has been the most life-changing of her life.

WBW does not accept insurance, however, we try to maintain a feasible amount for women to receive counsel. If payment is a deterrent for counseling, please reach out to womenbecomingwhole@gmail.com as oftentimes we can partner with your local church to see if they can help support you for counseling.
