Our Core Beliefs

These are the foundational biblical truths that unite us as followers of Christ and form the theological foundation of Women Becoming Whole.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life.
Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22; John 8:29

Jesus willingly died on the cross as the once-for-all sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus physically rose from the dead and reigns as Lord.
Luke 24:46; Mark 16:6; Romans 10:9; 1 Corinthians 15:4

Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, not by our works.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; Romans 3:23–24

The Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, and sufficient Word of God, our final authority for faith and life.

God created humanity in His image as male and female, equal in dignity and value, with biological sex reflecting God's good design.

Marriage is God's covenant design between one man and one woman.

WBW Ministry Distinctives

While Christians may differ on secondary theological matters, these principles shape the ministry philosophy and approach of Women Becoming Whole. We ask members to respect these convictions and refrain from divisiveness within our community.

• Whole-Person Stewardship: We believe God cares about the whole person, spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and physically. Caring for our health is an act of biblical stewardship, while recognizing that spiritual transformation is our greatest need.

• Christ Above Wellness: We believe wellness is a gift from God, not our ultimate pursuit. Physical health should never replace our pursuit of Christ or become an idol. Our identity and hope are found in Him alone.

• Creator Over Creation: We believe our worship belongs to the Creator rather than His creation. While we appreciate God's creation and can benefit from many practical tools He has provided, our ultimate trust rests in God alone.

• Whole-Person Care: We believe God often works through both spiritual and practical means to bring healing and growth. We value whole-person care that thoughtfully addresses spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs while keeping Christ at the center.

• Mental Health & Medical Care: We believe medical care, counseling, and psychiatric medication can be appropriate gifts of God's common grace when used wisely under qualified medical supervision. We support caring for the whole person while affirming that lasting hope and transformation are ultimately found in our relationship with Christ.

• Men & Women in Ministry: Women Becoming Whole holds a complementarian view regarding the office of elder/pastor in the local church. At the same time, we recognize that faithful Christians hold differing convictions on this secondary issue. We welcome members who differ respectfully and ask that discussions surrounding denominational distinctives not become divisive within our community.

• Unity in Essentials: We seek to maintain unity around the essential doctrines of the Christian faith while extending grace in areas where faithful believers have historically held differing convictions. We ask all members to pursue humility, charity, and peace within the WBW community.
