Independent Contractor Information

Overview:

Following completion of this training program, you will become a certified Christian Health Mentor! All Christian Health Mentors are independent contractors, unaffiliated with Women Becoming Whole in regards to legal matters.

As an independent contractor there are a few really important details for you to know. The very first and most important is that you will be required to report and pay your own taxes to your state government tax agency and the IRS. The IRS has special rules for independent contractors, that we highly recommend you speak with a tax accountant about and research online. There’s nothing too complicated though, but we just wanted you to be aware of this!

We’ve also provided a few links to a number of resources that might be helpful. Note this is not an exhaustive live so please talk with an expert if you need more info).

Note: Women Becoming Whole recommends that you  speak with a tax consultant to gather more information about this might affect you directly.

Release of Liability:

At the beginning of this training we had you sign a contract agreement that releases our liability and also outlines the terms of our working relationship. We would recommend you create a similar form for the women you mentor. The easiest way to create a simple release for is through Google forms. You can email the forms to each woman and then save them just in case anything were to happen. These forms protect you from liability and we would highly recommend you create one. Here is the link to our agreement for an example. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
