Counseling FAQ

  1. Where are your counseling services located?

The WBW Network offers phone and zoom video conferencing for those who live in the US.

  2. What are your beliefs?

-We believe the Bible is the authoritative source with which all truth claims must be evaluated.
-We believe that the Bible, given by God, is sufficient for life in as it reveals to the believer all the data necessary for one to understand their need for Christ, how you can please the Lord, and how to live in a God-honoring way regardless of the circumstances whether comfortable or oppressive.
-We believe the fundamental views of the Christian faith can be summed up in this creed:
    -Nicene Creed-
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God,
Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.

-Shares wisdom to those living in a fallen world to help them face their problems  (Prov 19:20)

-Biblical counselors counsel out of the conviction that the theological content of Scripture
defines and directs the conversational content of counseling.

-Consist of subject matter in counseling conversations that shares wisdom for life’s problems, and is not a discipline that is fundamentally informed by science, but by the teaching found in God’s Word.

-Counsel that knows the authority and sufficiency of Scripture does not mean counseling that uses Scripture will remove all difficulties since we live in a fallen world.

-A ministry that counsels in the light of the reality that it’s not necessarily God’s intention to resolve all problems in this life but counsels the person to thrive in the midst of trials in a way that honors Christ (Rev 21:1-4).
